Sheraton Johor Bahru is a 30-year-old mixed-use structure reimagined as a contemporary 345-room hotel within an active commercial hub. Guided by an adaptive reuse approach, the design preserves the original framework while reshaping it into a warm and hospitable environment.Natural light, clear circulation, and spatial openness were prioritised to enliven the interiors and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Limited ceiling heights were resolved through coordinated services and the strategic use of finishes and lighting – enhancing spatial perception and comfort. Prefabricated concrete panels streamlined construction and ensured acoustic performance, reflecting a practical and sustainable approach.

Situated near the Johor – Singapore border and future RTS station, the project brings renewed activity to the area – transforming a dormant structure into a vibrant destination that restores pride and life to the neighbourhood.
