This development is a step in the creation of a hub for Asian Broadcasting in Malaysia, housing the world’s largest all digital broadcast and production centre with seven studio production facilities and a radio station. The design carried with it a comprehensive list of acoustic requirements from enclosure thicknesses to insulation and perimeter fencing to block the frequency of sound waves specifically emitted by 70 to 100cc scooters. The design consultant, The Crosby Group, Inc. set the conceptual framework from which design solutions were developed into a functional, technologically relevant and relatively colourful statement: the aluminium cladding colours were selected to complement the vibrant colours of ASTRO’s corporate logo.
