Located along the main boulevard in Putrajaya, the Treasury 2 Building was envisaged as a complement to the existing Ministry of Finance, and Income Tax Office within this new government administrative centre. Conceived as a mirror image of MOF, it adopts a monolithic linear form to define the eastern edge of the Vision Square Boulevard and to reinforce the prominence of MOF, one of the few nodes that punctuates the main axis of the boulevard. The 8-storey building houses a number of facilities including a multipurpose hall, prayer rooms, conference room and cafeteria. Most of the common areas are located on the lower three floors with access from varying street levels.

The building completes the composition of the Ministry complex in this location and provides a suitably eloquent event along the ceremonial axis that is the boulevard.
