Strategically positioned at the gateway of the TRX development, Menara IQ’s position takes advantage of a significant vista from the Jalan Tun Razak/Kampung Pandan interchange. The building form emerged as a dynamic origami-like sculpture that captures visual attention from its adjacencies while setting itself apart from its considerable neighbour -The Exchange 106.

Apart from the application of the most recent and advent technology such as the double deck lifts, environmentally conscious chilled beam systems, jump lifts and high performance double glazing facade, the building also becomes a benchmark for new and locally sourced materials such as the Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) panels expressed by the welcoming entry canopy.

This canopy screen become a pre-cursor to the timeless concept of the main lobby design, which consists of cohesive orchestration of natural materials such as timber, stone, copper, terrazzo and fare-faced concrete. The importance is placed in establishing balance and harmony between HSBC’s own identity and the Malaysian context.
