The Ascott

1999 – Kuala Lumpur

The Ascott is a residential tower, which takes its cue from the simple and elegant mid-rise apartments of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore during the 70’s. From wafer thin concrete balconies to the slender regiment of balusters, the masses of its tall curved wedges layer space in response to the tropical context of its setting. The result is a light and louvered metropolitan tower at the verge of the crowded city and a park edge.
