This is a budget broadcast and production centre redesign of an existing 3-storey factory structure. The concept proposed by the Design Consultant, Hans Knutzen Associates of New York was to create a modest but cheerful production house with technologically advanced facilities for television and radio production. The redesign work includes demolition of parts of the building and the construction of precast slabs for reworked additional floor areas. Special attention was given to acoustic treatment for the production spaces involved; problems being compounded by the effect of monsoon rains on existing metal deck roofs.
