Kamil Merican is a founding partner and CEO of GDP Architects. With 40 years of experience, he has received awards from PAM, RIBA, and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. He studied at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Architectural Association, UK.

Kamal Latiff

Kamal studied at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Architecture Association, UK. He joined GDP in 1990, and as Design Director he has extensive experience across a wide range of Malaysia’s institutional and commercial projects; such as the LRT, Express Rail Link and KKR2 Tower.

Haziph Ahmad

With 26 years of architectural experience, Haziph has designed and delivered on a wide range of hospitality and institutional projects; such as the Lone Pine Hotel Penang and the University Teknologi Petronas. He studied at the University of Bath and The Glasgow School of Art.

Yeo Pang Boon

Yeo is a director at GDP, with 37 years of architectural experience. He has worked and won awards for projects such as the Intermark, and The Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the Universiti Teknologi Petronas. He studied at the University of Melbourne.

Gan is an experienced architect with over 30 years of experience. He joined GDP architects in 1992, and has worked on many award winning projects such as the AZRB building and  HSBC Malaysia corporate headquarters. Gan studied at the Architectural Association, UK.

With 30 years of experience, Wan Bahrum is a director at GDP. He has designed and delivered on a variety of projects such as KL Ascott, One Menerung Condominium, and Tropicana City Centre. He studied at the Architectural Association, UK.

Rashdan is a director at GDP, with a speciality in healthcare architecture. His work includes projects such as The Astaka, Villa Loca and the National Institute of Health. He studied at the Mississippi State University’s School of Architecture, USA.

Chew Ping is a director at GDP, with over 20 years of experience in architecture. She has worked on a variety of award winning projects, from complex mixed-use developments to commercial towers and high-rise residential towers. She studied at the University of Melbourne.

Shah is a director at GDP with over 20 years of of architectural experience. He has designed and led projects across multiple typologies, such as the KKR2 tower, Media City and Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers. He studied at John Moore University, UK.

Fathuddin joined GDP Planners in 2018, and has played a a pivotal role in the planning division; overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and urban design. He studied at Universiti Teknologi Mara.

Razief specializes in project management and contract administration at GDP since 2011. He managed Tropicana Gardens’ six building submissions and overlapping construction phases for almost ten years. He studied at the Robert Gordon University, UK.

Sarah studied at RMIT University in Melbourne, where she later became a tutor and co-ran a design studio, while practicing at Fender Katsalidis Architects. Currently, Sarah co-heads R+, an all-female unit specializing in applied design research and strategies, founded in 2020.
